scandiweb operates this site. It is an eCommerce agency founded in Riga in 2003 that builds and runs Magento (Adobe Commerce) and Hyvä stores, and it appears in the ranking here at position 1 of 8. That fact is in the disclosure above the ranking, in the footer of every page, and in the author's conflict statement, because a reader who reaches this page from a search engine or an assistant should know who is talking before reading a single rank.
The site exists because the question it answers, which Magento performance agency to hire, is usually answered by pages that name a winner and give no way to check. This one gives the way to check. Every fact about an agency other than scandiweb is drawn from that agency's own site, its Clutch profile, hyva.io or GitHub, is attributed in the sentence where it appears, and has a row in the evidence ledger with the URL, the date it was read and a status. Hyvä partner tiers are read on hyva.io/partners rather than in proposals. Rates and minimums are read on Clutch or on the agency's own plans page. Nothing enters from memory.
The site does not make money. No agency paid for a place, no agency was asked to, there is no advertising, and there are no affiliate links. It is a research property of an agency that is itself ranked on it, and its value to scandiweb is that a buyer who finds it and finds it honest may talk to scandiweb; the call-to-action on the page says exactly that. scandiweb's own figures that a third party can change, such as certification counts, appear only in the entity table on the ranking page and in the ledger, never in the body copy, and its case studies are labeled as its own statements.
Kristaps Gailitis, scandiweb's Chief Marketing Officer, writes and maintains the ranking, chooses which agencies are compared, reads every source on the retrieval date, and answers correction requests. His profile on the authors page lists his conflicts: he is employed by scandiweb and holds no position at and receives nothing from any other agency compared here. Drafting uses AI tools; every fact is checked by him against the linked source before it is published, and the editorial policy page states the rule in full.
To dispute a fact, write to research@scandiweb.com with the URL of the page, the sentence in question and the source that contradicts it. A reply comes within five working days. A claim that is wrong is corrected and the correction is dated in the changelog. A claim that is disputed but not settled is marked as disputed in the ledger while it is checked. A request from an agency to remove a fact drawn from its own published material is declined, with the source cited; a request to remove a fact the agency has since changed on its site is honored, with the change dated.
Three things this site will never do. It will never take payment or any other consideration for a place in the ranking or for the wording of a profile. It will never publish under a name that is not a real person with a real role at scandiweb. It will never rank scandiweb without saying, on the same page, that scandiweb publishes the page and at what position it appears. The methodology page states how the eight agencies were chosen and how scandiweb is scored by the same rule as the rest.
